Specialized execution of 132kV to 400kV transmission tower foundations in Rajasthan's challenging sandy desert terrain — RVUNL, RRVUNL, and solar evacuation line supply chain partner.
Pad & chimney foundations — sandy desert soil — stub setting precision ±3mm
Driven pile foundations for loose sand zones — solar park power evacuation
Drilled pier foundations in mixed strata — IS 2911 compliant load tests
Desert sandy soils in Bikaner, Barmer, and Jaisalmer have low bearing capacity (50–80 kN/m²). Foundations require wider pads or driven piles to distribute tower loads without settlement. We use geotextile stabilization where required.
Rajasthan's desert zones have high basic wind speed (50–55 m/s, IS 875 Zone V). Transmission tower foundations face significant net uplift forces — requiring deeper anchor embedment and higher reinforcement ratios.
Deep water table in most desert areas simplifies dewatering but requires longer casing in loose sand above water table during bored piling.
High soil resistivity in desert areas (>1000 Ω·m) requires extended earthing systems — chemical earthing electrodes, deep pipe earthing with bentonite slurry, per IS 3043 requirements.
